What You Should Know About the 2019 Rogue

Performance

The 2019 Rogue comes standard with a 2.5L engine that’s equipped with Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control and is capable of delivering 170 horsepower. It also comes available with Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission, which holds your engine at the ideal speed for the job.

The new Rogue is also ranked as the most fuel efficient in its class, and for good reason: standard models 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway, while hybrid models get 33 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway.

Thanks to its soft suspension, the Rogue provides its drivers with a smooth and predictable ride, regardless of the situation. For drivers who might find themselves in rapidly changing road conditions, consider looking at the available AWD drivetrain, which sends power to the tires that need it most in the moment.

Safety

The 2019 Rogue is available with a variety of safety tools to guarantee peace of mind while you’re behind the wheel.

Nissan knows that accidents happen — that’s why the Rogue has Nissan’s advanced airbag system, which features dual-stage supplemental front airbags, side-impact airbags, and roof-mounted curtain side-impact airbags. Additionally, you’ll be able to secure LATCH-compatible child restraints in the backseat without having to use seat belts or a locking clip.

This crossover is also available with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System with Easy-Fill Alert, which tells you when a tire is low and alerts you when you’ve reached the correct pressure. Of course, if you do suddenly end up in a dicey position on the road, the available vehicle dynamic control will be there to help. This system reduces engine power as it detects irregularities in steering and braking, and sends power to the right wheels to bring you to a safe stop.

valley datsun 1

A few years back, we received a Facebook message from a gentleman named Richard Brown from New Zealand. He had imported a 1972 Datsun 510 race car that was branded “Valley Datsun” and said Longmont, Colorado on the side. When he found Valley Nissan of Longmont online, and knew there had to be a connection!

Turns out the vehicle was by a mechanic that used to work for us in the 80s. Our dealership sponsored the car, hence the Valley Datsun livery. Richard restored the car, including the original Valley Datsun livery and now races it in New Zealand. It was even featured in the New Zealand Performance Car magazine!

It’s very cool knowing a historic race car with our name and town on it is now racing halfway across the globe! It’s even cooler that it’s owned by someone who is so willing to keep us in the loop! Recently, Richard messaged us again to let us know that Greenlight Collectibles will be making a die cast replica of the Valley Datsun. He also showed us the t-shirts he had created featuring the car. We ordered some of the shirts and they are now available for sale in our parts department. Come check the out and get your own piece of Datsun racing history. We’re also working on getting an order of the die cast replicas once they are available. We’ll be sure to keep you posted when we get those!

A big thanks to Richard for keeping us informed of everything he has going on! It’s amazing to see how racing can bring people together, even from the other side of the globe!

We recently  had the pleasure of training on the all new 2019 Nissan Altima that will be available for sale at Valley Nissan soon! Aside from the beautiful new interior and exterior design, there are a lot of exciting new options on the 2019 model. The 6th generation of our best selling mid-sized sedan will come with option AWD for the first time ever, making it a more practical option for many of us here in Colorado.

The new Altima will also be packed with Nissan’s newest Intelligent Mobility technology, including ProPilot Assist. This amazing feature is a hands on driver assist system that reduces the hassle of stop-and-go driving by helping control acceleration, braking and steering during single-lane highway driving. The smart cruise control will keep you at a selected distance from the car in front of you, no mater how much the pace of traffic fluctuates. It will even bring you to a complete stop during traffic jams or when the car in front of you stops at a red light. The steering assistance reads the lines in the road and will continuously adjust the steering wheel to keep you in the center of the lane.

Additionally, the 2019 Altima features the world’s first production ready VC (variable compression) turbo inline 4 cylinder engine! This new engine will replace the previous generation Altima’s 3.5-liter V6 engine. The VC turbo generates the same performance of the V6 gasoline engines but with 4 cylinder level fuel economy. Learn more about the VC turbo here.

We are very excited to announce that Valley Nissan has received a grant from the Regional Air Quality Council through the Charge Ahead Colorado program! Our ongoing commitment to Electric Vehicle adoption has given us the opportunity to partner with RAQC on expanding EV charging throughout the state of Colorado! We are using these grant funds to install a new Level 3 EV charging station at our dealership. This will be our second Level 3 charger in addition to our three public Level 2 charging stations available.

As a dealership that cares about the environment, we want to make it as easy as possible for people to make the switch to America’s best selling EV, the 100% electric Nissan LEAF. We know that convenient and fast charging stations are the key to making the switch from gas to electric a seamless one. The addition of a second fast charger on site will make a huge difference in the lives of current and future EV drivers and we are proud to be a part of that.

The new fast charger will be installed within the next 6 months and will be available for use 24/7. Stay tuned as we solidify our timeline for installation. We’ll be sure to keep you posted when the new charging station is open to the public!

kicks color 1We’re excited to announce the launch of Nissan’s brand new vehicle, the KICKS! There are many exciting optional features as well, including Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 360-degree camera system, and possibly our favorite option – a BOSE stereo system with speakers built into the driver’s headrest! As with the outgoing JUKE and the current Versa Note, the KICKS offers tons of customization options for both the exterior and interior with Nissan’s Color Studio accessories.
